RotorPros - Black Zinc installed!
Pics provided.
Used TacoBills instructional (thanks bud)
The install went ultra smooth.
My car is over 5 years old, and has about 73,000km on it (never seen winter)
The rotors came off with EASE..no hammering or anything.
Fronts REALLY easy to work on,
rears required a bit more finese with getting around the e-brake, and limited space and the yellow locktite.
2 pics are one after install (how the black zinc looks before you start braking) and after the zinc pretty much gone on the surface.
Nice zinc smell when braking at first.
Still have to bed them though.
Used the stock pads, for some reason 2 clips on the new ceramic pads I got were off and couldn't be put back on ... looks like the post isn't high enough to get the clip to stay on.
Stock pads still look NEW and so do the stock rotors!

Well I haven't driven it hard and haven't had a chance to bed them yet.
Normal driving, at first you could notice the zinc layer being dusted off.
They feel like normal discs right up until about when you stop and then this is a noticable 'clink' in the pedal.
I don't notice any noise difference at all other than that.
(keep in mind I'm also using the original/stock brake pads)

Waiting for my calipers to come back from the powder coat shop. I have a set of rotors to install along with SS brake lines and Hawks.
Rotorpros put together a great package price. Make sure you tell them you are from TMS when placing your order!
