So this bolts straight to the stock H/X pipe? No welding, right?

Then, of course the next question w/ any new mod for the '05, do you think the computer will need to be retuned?

No welding required. It's a bolt on system.

I wonder how these sound. I have FRPP shortys and heard what they did for sound. Do these also come with o2 extensions? The 02 bungs look very far from stock! Finally, what are they made out of? I am interested, but will let someone else be the guinea pig as that is a lot of scratch to put down for these!

Forgot to answer Lowe!: If you look at them, they bolt to the pipes after your stock h-pipe. Looking at your list of planned mods, you would use these in place of the factory headers and attach to the pipes that go to your axle-backs (no need to replace these as they are good from FoMoCo). Finish off with your choice of axle-back which you state is the Flowmaster Amer. Thunder axle-backs. As for welding, I think you would use the stock clamps. My Bassani setup came with all new clamps, and the photo on the site you linked doesn't display any new clamps and the write up doesn't list them.
