I was under the impression that a centrifugal would *start* producing boost at 2500 and linearly increase boost until at 100% at like 6k or something.
Then a twin screw would start making boost at like 2300 and make 100% boost at like 3k or something.
I know I'm probably wrong, but someone who knows this stuff, please chime in and correct me and provide some moderately accurate numbers (in terms of when boost starts till it's at 100% and what the curve looks like...the boost curve, not the torque curve).
While you're at it, can you also explain to me what the bypass valve is and how it works?

No idea. I didn't buy the car for fuel efficiency, and right now I have an issue with the car revving to 3200 RPMs when I shift to neutral, so I can't get an accurance fuel economy reading.

Vortechs are fun - I have owned a couple of them on other Mustangs. I'm a little disappointed in the packaging on this kit but I guess the cramped engine compartment of the new Mustang poses too many problems to work around for their centrifugal head unit. I think perhaps the Procharger has the best solution I have seen so far as far as packaging goes for the centrifugals, which is odd because I thought their pushrod motor kits were by far the worst.

First Smokin looking set up. Second to piggy back a little, I'm interested in getting 380 - 400 rwhp out of my 05 auto! Since I live in a town which sees 90-105 degrees about 5 months out of the year I'm also leaning towards the Air-to-Water Intercooler. However I'm really serious about limiting my hp as I'm nervous about Rod & Piston duribility. Ultimately would it be wise to get the intercooler or is unnessary at the boost levels I'm interested in running? Want to get a fair number of years out of my street driven stang.
