Resonators or Prochamber

Resonators or Prochamber
Hi. Which would be better to get resonators welded to the over axle pipe or a prochamber welded to where my x pipe is? I'm looking to get a deeper and less drone. I am thinking of getting resonators like this
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
The resonator route would also be alot cheaper.
Thanks.

I'm running Mac Prochamber w/high-flow cats, Pypes Violators, and stock manifolds. With no drone, or trumpeting. I've also noticed that my exhaust sounds both smoother, and deeper since upgrading to the high-flow catted Prochamber.

I have the full length Prochamber with high-flow cats.

I actually tried each and both at the same time. Short answer is they will not eliminate the drone, just muffle it a little. You don't save too much with resonators because they have to be welded...unless you can do it yourself. Also, if you don't like them, it's a pain to find factory overaxle pipes, and the aftermarkets aren't 100% exact fit. I love my prochamber, but it didn't reduce drone, it deepened the tone of the drone. Your best bet is to go with GTAs or Corsas.

Scott, I did notice a volume increase, but not to the point where it's overbearing. The high-flow cats and Prochamber actually provide a slightly louder, but also smoother exhaust tone in which I no longer notice any drone.

In short, the cats seem to work similar to resonators, and have apparantly made a significant difference.

As a direct result, I was able to locate only 2 vendors who carried the last ones in stock over 6 months ago.
In the meantime, I'll post the websites of both vendors, and perhaps they just might have a couple of high-flow catted prochambers left in stock. Anyway, best of luck to you.
