By FRPP he means Ford Racing Performance Products

Here's a link to the 3.73's you're thinking of.

I'm not sure that FRPP offers them in a full "kit" that you are talking about.

You can have your gears at http://www.americanmuscle.com/05-07-mustang-gears.html or at http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-4209-88373/ kit also available when you add item in your cart. I bought my gears and kit separately from summit.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RAT-3021K/

You gotta have a tuner to adjust your speedo.

Go with the Ford racing 3.73 gears like stated from summit and then use either the basic ford racing install kit M-4210-A...http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-4210-A/ and then if you want new axle bearings/seals add the M-1225-B kit ...http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-1225-B/. I doubt you need carrier bearings, etc. but if you really want a loaded kit to redo the entire rearend then look at the Ford racing M-4210-C but still doubt you need it.

FRPP 3.73's here.....no issues. Gears, tune, and CAI are must-do mods. Buy the install kit and a bottle of Ford Friction Modifier. Be careful with the friction modifier...that stuff reeeeaaaaakkkks of the smell of death.

I'm going with the 3.73 from ford racing and having a well known mechanic put them in. How much difference is the pick up in the car with those gears compared to stock ones? Is the ratio for a stock 2007 mustang gt 3.23?

If i m not wrong, it s 3.31 for auto and 3.55 for stick, but i'm not sure.

I've got 4.10 and, i don t really like it. The transmission shifts too quickly for me. So i ordered a custom tune to see if they can make the shift longer

I just got off the phone with the mechanic, he suggested if I wanted to put the gears in to get a cold air intake and a bigger throttle body and he could adjust the air/fuel ratio to run better with my flowmaster ats. Also he said he has the tuner for the speedo correction need for the gears. I was wondering what would be the best intake and throttle body to get?

I wonder how he can adjust the mixture ratio...you can adjust only at wot with a tuner.
Jlt 110 mm is one of the best cai, or c&l
Throttle body is useless now.

I'm not sure how he is going to adjust it, I was going to go with the k&n intake and ford racing gears and ford racing throttle body, but they want 600$ for the **** throttle body, should I just get the intake and gears and have him tune it the best he can and save my money for cams instead of the throttle body?

I have the BBK throttle body and truthfully, it's not that big of a difference. A new tb won't really do crap at lower HP levels. Save your money and get you a good CAI and an SCT tuner. You'll need that tuner for all your future mods and if you get the bama free tunes for life, you'll get tunes for free for every mod you do. It'll fix your speedo when you get new gears or bigger rims too. It's a great buy.
