The non-intercooled will be under 4K... they did not mention what the intercooled version would cost.

I doubt it will be any cheaper than the rest of the superchargers on the market. For example, the KB non-intercooled version "lists" for $4600, but it also comes with the BAP, tuner, CAI, 90mm MAF and the 39# injectors. And I'm sure we'll be able to find dealers who will sell them below the "list" price.

Anyone know how it compares to a non-intercooled Roushcharger in price (I think the Roush is a roots... right?).

Personally, for roughly the same money, I'd rather have a twin screw than a roots-type, anyway. But's thats just my opinion.

I beg to differ. The Saleen is an inverse blower. The air is drawn straight to the rear of the blower and down the back through the upper manifold. It goes through the screws inverted, upwards through the intercooler and down through the long intake runners.
Notice how deep in the "V" of the engine the blower pulley and blower are located.

Here's a How stuff works explanation on tuned intake runners

The above picture of the Radix supercharger is a little interesting and unique as far as S197 blowers go. The blower is actually reversed front to back compared to a KenneBell. The blower is actually driven through a shaft to the left of the blower. It is then driven through a secondary belt at the back of the blower which allows the intake air to come directly from the front.
It is then compressed through the screws and straight down through the runners. Shafts are used successfully by Vortech on Honda applications so I don't see a problem with that.
Is it a twinscrew or a roots type?
What is it's displacement?
Where would the intercooler go?

As we know Saleen, KenneBell and maybe some others I'm unfamiliar with made good use of the unused space in the V of the block to keep the design compact. It doesn't look to be the case here from the limited pics we have. Look at how high the blower is mounted using the bottom of the intake runners as a point of reference.

For me it's still a tossup between the Kenne Bell (most complete twinscrew system with the Boost-A-Pump, injectors ect...) and the Saleen which looks like the best designed as far as packaging of the system to make it look clean and "tight" under the hood as well as keeping a long intake tract. It's limited in boost and HP unless you go through a knowledgeable company like JDM Engineering who can provide higher boost packages and tunes like a lot of people on these forums do.

I hope this helps someone cause I'm still undecided.

Radix is an improved M112 Eaton Roots type blower, the Saleen is a 2300cc Twin Screw like that of the Whipple. Yes, there is a large difference but both will make excellent power and mainly Torque.

Thanks, Doug.

It's actually the same supercharger that was used on the '03/'04 Cobra. The Shelby will use a larger M122H, which is a hybrid using some new technology to help efficiency.

Lots of choices for the '05/'06 GT owners...
