Just got back from the Mid America Performance Ford and Shelby Meet in Tulsa, OK. I spent 4 days racing and showing with my wife and we made a handful of new friends and contacts. Screamin' Yellow Q was at the road course with Steeda, I could pull away from her like nobody's buisiness in the straights but when the corners came she would always catch back up. I think Steeda has the ball in their court when it comes to road course handling.
By the way, my wife took second place in the powder puff drag racing with a 12.88 at 105 and I took first place in the modular motor class with a 12.87 at 105. We also won the 05 mustang division in the car show. What a great weekend!
I will post some pictures tomorrow.
I met the owner of MRT, (Mustang racing technologies) Scott Hoag and his wife Lisa. They are some really great people with some awesome products I will be investing in. If you aren't farmiliar with MRT then let me shed some knowledge on the issue, they built the black 05 Mustang called the "Interceptor," one of the first supercharged 05's specifically for SEMA. They used it as a pace car at the Hallett raceway this weekend among other cars that they have modified with the help of CDC. I had the pleasure of racing with most of their team and learned a lot as far as road racing goes. I also got to meet Jay Bittle of JBA personally, he came up to me in the pits at the open track and wanted pics of the car for his website, for a CEO/President this guy is the most down to earth people person you will ever meet. Not only am I happy with his products, his customer service is the best in the buisiness. Jay is really interested in helping the non-corporate racers like myself, I was really blown away.
To all that were at the meet it was great to meet you in person, keep up the modding, if you haven't started yet and you guys know who you are, what are you waiting for? And don't give me that silly excuse you tell yourself and others.
