Looks like a good deal dustin!

Now what do most use open face? full face? open face looks alot more comfortable.

You don't need full face, you're not racing a Motorcycle. When I was shopping for mine, I was just looking for the cheapest thing that I could find. I didn't plan on making drag racing a hobby, boy was I wrong.

Most people wear motorcycle helmets because they are the cheapest. The visor is completely useless, I'm taking mine off this season. The auto racing ones from Simpson, and even the Bell models are very expensive (as high as $800 and usually not lower than $300). You'd be retarded not to get that $130 racing helmet. They are basically letting you steal it from them. Get that one. Or I'll sell you mine for $130 and I'll sell you mine.

White or black, get whatever it's up to you.

That philosophy might bite you in the future. I always will pay extra for good equipment if it has the posibility of preventing harm to myself or saving my life. If I personally was going to buy a helmet right now, G-Force racing has full faced SA2005 helmets for under 300 dollars.

So when are going getting your 12 point cage put in? You wear a fire suit too? I guess my point is that you can only go so far. You're not racing a 9 second car.

If I was to use this car frequently for open track days(road courses) I would definetly put a roll bar in so I can properly use a harness. I will gladly spend 100 dollars more for a superior SA helmet that has additional safety features. And BTW...Once you hit mid 11s you need a cage.

Well, now it gets funny. They sent me the open face helmet too!
It shipped to work, the full face shipped to home.

Same order numbers, same prices

I did show 2 charges to credit card for 130, but they credited one.
Thats odd itself, and the invoices are billed at 128.45. and they charged 130 something to my discover.

Oh well, Ill take 2 Bell NA2005 rated helmets for 130. You win some, you lose some.
You never know when you'll have a passenger along.

Dustin, John - great info! I'm also shopping for a helmet as I just signed up for an event at the Autobahn (May 20-21). I even wrote it on the wifes 'master' calendar in INK ! - no turning back now

Thanks for all the great info, prices and links.
