I know the 2005 mustang gt has a 8.8 rear but my question is the following, does the rearend on any mustang using a 8.8 rearend fit my 2005 gt. I was in a accident and I have to replace my rearend but is too expensive!

the housing is different, for instance... the rear uses a single Upper Control Arm Mount.

Not all internals are the same only the ring and pinion. The 05 axles are 31 spline while the past GT's had 28 spline.
