I am not looking to make it the fastest car around or anything like that but wouldn't mind my car being slightly faster than stock. I am not really planning on modifying the engine yet. But some day I may, and was wondering what could be done to get about 325-330 hp out of the GT.

to get 325 - 330 at the crank all you need is a JLT or maybe a C&L with an SCT2 tuner. That combo is 29 rwhp which equates to 34HP at the crank. Brenspeed or Bamachips (I forget) is selling a slightly used JLT/SCT2 package for $475 in the specials section, don't know if he still has them.
If you do pullies and water pump you get another 15 rwhp
off road H-pipe will give you another 15-20 (I think)

I know this probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyway.
I just got my Mustang GT and am not familier with the new High performance Modifications. I had a Modified 302 in the 80's but the talk was more Holley Carbs and Edelbrock manifolds with headers.
What does a JLT or C&L do to inprove performance?

You'll probably need to redo the heads along with eliminating the charge motion plates. Maybe that would be a good time to get the "RACER" C&L intake. I would also do longtube headers. That mod seems to go well with the CMP delete.

I have a JLT-I w/DTP 93-octane Predator tune, ProChamber and Hooker AeroChambers = roughly 332hp at the flywheel (283rwhp). Probably a very safe bet that a large majority of the gains are from the CAI and tune

Just get an intake and tuner from Brenspeed.com or bamachips.com and you will be happy

And throw in some axlebacks for sound, and some 4.10 gears for that "pin your ears back" feeling, and you'll be even happier.
Or, you'll just catch the mod bug and won't be able to stop. lol

The Dyno sheet on my Torch Red Steeda Q states 335 hp @ 5550 and 345 Torque @ 4200. Steeda Ran the car last year at some of the Fun Ford Weekend events with the current tune and it posted a best of 12.75 @ 107.83 mph. The upgrades are Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, Steeda Cold Air Intake (CAI), Steeda Charge-Motion Plates, Steeda Tune SCT Flash Programmer, Steeda/Borla Catback exhaust & 4.10-rear gears witch don’t contribute to hp but do to the Grin Factor. I’m very pleased with the Q and it’s performance.

might be a differant situation but after 30 plus years of drag racing the last thing i wanted was a restriction in the intake track.i know why they are in there but it just doesnt make since to make the motor suck in more air then let it hit a bottle neck.took mine out and seems to run fine.

Back to the topic:

They are correct. I went with a JLT CAI and a xcal 2 tuner. I later sent the tuner to Bama for a low end torq. tune. I also changed my exhaust to flowmasters (according to Horsepower TV that is a 6 hp gain). You will really notice the kick in the pants....no delay punch of HP.
Go for it...its only money....atleast that is what I am telling myself about ordering the Steeda springs and panhard bar.

Most of the posts I've read that say the CMP delete is crap didn't have a quality tune. 5.0 Mustang & Super Ford site has a tech article on the CMRC delete kit from PHP. They specifically say you will lose HP if you get a tuner who doesn't know his stuff. The article's posting of power and torque show an increase in both across the RPM range. I meant to imply that if you get your heads done, get the CMP(CMRC) delete done at the same time. No need for 'flappers' near a ported head. The vehicle also had JBA headers and exhaust along with underdrive pulleys....which I'm not too high on.

It seems that for the money and work a CAI and Tuner are best choice for the money.
Do these and other Mods cause more wear and tear on the engine and trans?
How much would mpg suffer?
