Question about: Upgrading LCA's
I found a pair of GT500 lower control arms on ebay for 30 buck a piece. My first question is:
1. Are the GT500 LCA's worth the money and time to upgrade? Will they help with wheel hop?
2. Is it a direct swap from my stockers to the GT500 LCA's? (I have on 05 GT)
Here is the link to the ebay add, just don't scoop them out from under me.

Any help would be appreciated, going to the track next weekend and want to be ready.. Thanks,
pat

I have the BMR cheap ones (Tubular Lower Control Arms w/poly bushings) 135.00 and they work good for me, can't say I notice any more noise or vibrations, and no wheel hop with the SC.

i've got the BMR tubular LCA's. I didn't notice any more NVH, and they just about completely eliminated the wheel hop. Add an UCA and it'll get rid the wheel hop permanently, even in rain. The thing is, the UCA definitely adds NVH.

If it is a standard GT500, the LCA's are the same ones used on a standard GT. It would be a direct fit, but that is because they are the same control arms. I would recommend running either BMR or Steeda. BMR's are cheaper but Steeda does use better bushings.

I own a pair of gt500 lca's as well as a pair of gt lca's. I have the roush billet lca's on my car.
I can tell you this, I have had them side by side. Compared the bushing model number as well as used a caliper to measure the thicknes of the plate inserts. They look identical except for the color & possibly the material. How do they perform? I have no clue, I never installed them. However, if your still interested in buying a set of gt500 ones, pm me I may be able to work out a deal thats better than you think. I just need them out my house at this point.
The main reason I bought them is because I thought the bushings were stiffer, I wanted to have the bushings presed out the gt500 ones and have them pressed in the roush ones. However since the bushings were identical, I had no reason to touch them.
