Question about SCT liveload

When I open liveload and hookup my xcalibator 2 to my computer i'm supposed to get the main menu in the display. However my display goes straight to the program vehicle display and I can't change it to main menu. Is this a problem? Can I go ahead and use liveload anyway?

Thanks guys

Not sure if that is a problem or not, but I've always had better luck getting things to work properly if I hook up the x-cal first, then start liveload. For some reason, it seems to make a difference, at least on my computer.

Thanks for your response, I just tried again but as soon as I hook up the xcal it displays: program vehicle. Even by scrolling I cannot get to the main menu.

I dunno. Give it a shot, see if it will program the x-cal. If it doesn't work, you may have to contact SCT.

This is normal. I can't remember what rev it was, but the last few firmware upgrades for the XCal2 got rid of the main menu screen. They didn't bother to update any of the instructions. You can download your tunes from the Program Vehicle screen. Steve's advice is still wise, hook up the XCal first then open the program.
