Thumbs up Big Thanks to Brent @ Brenspeed!

I had an issue where the tunes were accidently erased on my XCal. I had recently changed out my JLT version I tube for the version II so I had no tunes for my car and had to return to stock.

I called Brenspeed this AM (Friday) and left a message. It wasn't an hour later that Brent called me and asked how he could help. I explained that I needed a new tune for my JLT II and he had created the tune before for the version I. He sent me the new file within and hour and didn't charge me a dime.

Now that's what I call customer service!

This happened to me at Brenspeeds dyno day today. I took my tuner up today to have Brent make some tweaks to the auto trans shift schedule. I gave the tuner to his wife and told her what I wanted and also wanted to talk to Brent. 5 minutes later Brent is handing me my tuner saying the tweaks were done. I laughed and said "no your not" I want to buy some delete plates and have to update for them also. Now that was service I have to say.

Some of us Midwestern members on here had informal get togther last weekend 'Stang Stock 07'; stay tuned for the planning of Stang Stock 08.
Brent,Karen,Dave & Seth all came. They trailered their Saleen-powered Mustang down, brought all kinds of cool parts for sale & handed out free T-shirts.
They hung out with us all afternoon, let us all pester them endlessly & just had a good time. Now, they couldn't have sold enough stuff to even pay for their gas there, let alone what they could have made for a day @ the shop, meant alot to me
These folks really care about their work & their customers. They are all very knowledgable about the newer Mustangs & won't BS you for a sale.
Can't go wrong with Brenspeed IMO!

A slightly related question; how can I tell if I have a JLT1 or JLT2? I got it used from a member a while back and now I'm ordering a tune from Doug.

Dang I can't remember for the life of me.... I was thinking that it was predominantly the difference in mass air housing.

Try pm'ing Tucker, he is a member here and is Jay Tucker (the J & T in JLT).

If I remember correctly, the JLT 1 came without a heat shield & the JLT2 came with it.

The JLT version I tube doesn't have the outside metal piece near the air filter. It has a metal sleeve on the inside. I just went from the version I tuble to the version II tube.

I am looking at getting a programmer and I emailed several companys with questions and Brent is the only one that ever returned my email. He is a class act from my experience and from what i've heard about him. So, when I get the money to get a tuner I'm getting it from him!!! ROCK ON BRENSPEED!!!

I have been finalising my choice for CAI/tune and Brenspeed is in the front. However, while I was doing some of my research, Bamachips had a bunch of codes they needed from your car. How does Brenspeed not need them?

They really only need one code thats the calibration code on the little silver box right next to the fuse box it 4 digits letter and numbers and they get all your info after you order.I recommend calling them their always there to help.

They do. They will contact you following the sale to collect data and set everything up with you.
