Question about Off Road X-Pipe

I have the SLP loudmouths and I'm thinking about getting an off road x-pipe because I want it LOUD. Now, my question is this- What brand of x-pipe would best compliment my Loudmouths? Or does it matter what brand I go with? A local muffler shop recommended to go with Bassani. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

The bassani x is a good pipe but I don't know how good it will sound with the lm's. An H would sound better IMO

Man, I have been there and done that. It is all documented in the link in my sig. I'm telling you, that is the absolute loudest your car will ever be. I had the offroad Bassani x and the LMs on there only for about a month, it was just way to Fing much. Half throttle was equal to WOT with any of the mufflers I had tried. Full throttle..was.....unholy. And I don't necessarily mean that in a good way. It gave me headaches, and the trumpets were really bad. I say if you can do it super cheap, then do it just to experience it. But it is in NO way a combo to keep.

I had the UPR OR-X and sold it to TMS member Darth Stang... it's a little louder than he wanted. Check the classifieds. It's got super low miles and I think he'll get it shipped for about $100. Great way to try it. Good luck. I don't think the brand has as much to do with it as the design (ie- x pipe vs h pipe vs OR , etc... ) Good luck.

SOLD!! Had to chime in!

Yes....the UPR O/R X was F%#@%in LOUD!!! Like so many, I am searching for the sound too, and after the FRPP stingers I wanted the muscle sound. Well, I thought I did... I was driving out the garage in the morning and I swear my neighbors thought it was an air raid (car sounded like a P-51 Mustang instead of a GT). The sound was awesome, but LOUD, so loud that I was scaring little old ladies on the Washington Beltway when I drove past them at half throttle, not to mention WOT accelerations on short stretches. Needless to say, on my daily driver, that was getting to be an issue, especially with local 5-0 giving me the glance .

So yeah, I decided to go back to stock H and deal with the FRPP drone until I get a new idea. TMS member justinluv949 will be getting this bad A## pipe for Thanksgiving, hopefully he can do it better justice than me!!
