So far.... I like the performance 87 tune more than the race 93. Seems like there's more low end torque with the performance tune, to me anyway. Couldn't hook worth crap, which is fun. The race tune seems to have more high end power, hardly any traction issues and pulls pretty hard. For me, it seemed like the performance tune changed the way the car felt while the race tune just made it fast. Can't go wrong either way but I prefer the performance tune.

Did you try any street tune? I flashed that first and will be flashing performance next. Curious to how much of a difference an what differences there will be. Both being 87.

Haven't messed with street yet. I wanna find out what exactly the difference is between the three... I think you're really gonna like the performance tune though

Yeah I'm excited to try it out. I think the performance just adds more aggressive throttle response, timing, and fuel settings over the street tune. Which sounds right down my alley lol

This is all really good feedback! Glad to see you're happy with the tunes. Thanks guys!

Make sure that when you switch from a lower octane tune such as 87 octane to a higher octane tune like 91 or 93, that you run a full tank of the higher octane fuel through before you flash the higher octane tune in. If there's enough lower octane fuel left in the tank, it could cause the tune to pull timing and keep you from experiencing the true 93 tune gains.

Most mods will and should require a tune update, but it's as easy as us emailing them over!

Give our Bama Peformance custom tuning specialists a call if you have absolutely any questions at all or need tech help. You can talk to a tuner directly Monday-Friday here in the building at the Bama Direct number in my signature below. We're SCT's largest dealer in the world, but we like to get to know you and your car by name. Give us a shout!

LOL

Currently averaging 23 with a tail-wind, downhill, on a clear day in my 07 GT (granted I'm not easy on the car).

The jealousy is kicking in!

Wow that's amazing! I just spent a day driving to NYC and my sisters 2010 Mazda 3 got about 33 hwy MPG lol(thought that was around 70mph). Still impressive knowing our 300+ HP cars can achieve MPG numbers like that. I love it! I will be flashing performance today an I have a feeling my MPG will be dropping quickly lol

Just got back from testing out 87 performance. You're right, I love that tune lol I felt a lot more pull right off the bat then the street tune. Maybe it's the cold weather, maybe its having more power and torque, but I notice after flashing these tunes, its harder to gain traction when shifting 1st to 2nd(~5000rpm- street tune) and reaching ~4-5000 rpm in 1st in performance tune. Probably just need to adjust to it but I love it. I can definitely feel the increase throttle response with the performance.

Also, not sure if this is possible but to me my car sounds a little louder and better now lol . Maybe its just me. Gotta love those pypes bomb axle back.

Yea it makes it louder and a lil different. Now fill up on 93 and flash the race tune lol. I take back what I said about it earlier, it's definitely the ***** lol

Yeah I'll have to try it out. Actually I usually get gas at WaWa an I noticed today that the highest octane is 92. So I remember I only requested a 91 octane tune. I know there is other stations so I'll have to request a 93 tune. But I know were suppose to run a tank of 93 through first before flashing the tune, does it have to be a full tank?

Well you just want to make sure that you run your tank really low before you fuel up. The more you pump in the less diluted it will be. You don't have to run it through, just drive around or let it idle just to get the 93 in to the lines and the rails.
