Hi hi, tuesday i plan to recieve the JLT II intake from Bamachips

I had a question. When i do get it, and i remove the stock intake...do i disconnect the battery before slipping on in the JLT II? Or can i go ahead and swap stock intake, and put in the JLT II?

For those of u who have Dougs tune with the JLT II...how do u like it? Was the installation hard?

I purchased/installed a C&L intake from another retailer, and I simply installed it w/o disconnecting the battery. Everything was/is fine. If you do disconnect the battery, I would say, (in my opinion) to disconnect the battery 1st, remove old and install new, then reconnect the battery. I purchased the 93 Torque from Doug and he emailed it to me. Bid Difference! I love it. Also, I'm sure Doug would help out if needed.

Baginoman2, I just installed my JLT2 from Doug on Friday and got it in yesterday. It Rocks!! I installed it and unhooked the battery and then did the tune. So far, I've thrown a few codes related to the throttle position sensor but I was driving it like a bat out of heck...so we'll see. But the car runs like it should have from the factory...IMHO.

As for the install, you should know that you take the whole PCV hose with quick connnectors off with the stock intake...you'll see what i mean...and for God's sake, make sure you put the tube in the long end of the rubber elbow...I did it backwards at first and well...it didn't fit right. Turned it around, and now it works fine.

Oh yeah, I used some WD40 to make it go on better.

Let me know if you have any issues, okay!

Reflash PCM = Plugging in XCal2 into your car's computer port (under driver's side dash) and following menu instructions for custom tune upload. Essentially, you're replacing the stock calibration with a custom tune made for the larger air intake. It's a pretty simple task. I wouldn't sweat over it. Plus, you have all the help you need on here...

Did that myself yesterday, and the responsiveness of the car (and how quick it gets up there) with the Perf 93 is AMAZING! I'm loving every second of it
