question about fouled plugs

I blew portion of my s/c tubing off Sat. hooked it back up; car still would not run I changed the plugs the car then started, but would not idle and on first start up it smoked real bad from excessive gas from me trying to get it going before I noticed the tubing to the s/c had come off. The engine died and would not start again, I took the plugs out and they were full of black soot, I cleaned them off and then the car restarted but still would not idle and died when I took my foot off the gas. I pulled the plugs again , this is after ruuning for about 3 mins at 2000 rpm. they were again black and full of soot. What is causing the plugs foul out so quick ?

You're prolly running way too rich.

Well there is no chance you put leaded gas in your car is there?
I know at Memphis Motorsports Park they sell leaded above 98.

Running leaded gas can cause this type of quick fouling that you are describing.

No chance of that, buy Shell v- power at the same gas station on a routine basis.

A bad fuel pump would probably not cause it to run rich. Something is set up wrong on the fuel delivery area. Either the computer is acting screwy, or the injectors are messed up...something.

Not to poo poo the above post...
Talked to my brother last night. (He's a turbo charger GURU...)
Anywho, he asked if you had a booster pump on your fuel system. And if so then it's prolly the cause. Is your car smoking when it's running? What color is the smoke if it is.
Do you have the PCV system hooked up? Are you sucking oil into your intake? it's a possibility.
Many possibilities. Start with the fuel delivery system though.
