Hey Brent, any way to test to see if that 2500 RPM bug can be squashed???. With your expertise I'm pretty sure you can figure out something. This exhaust note is kinda getting under my nerves now. More like embarassing. I mentioned earlier to try to by-pass the air pump pulley (if the 3v even has one) with a shorter serpentine belt like I did with my old fox body. My '93 used to gurgle and pop with an o/r h-pipe until I diabled the air pump.

You can't comfortably drive with this thing.

If you want the best sounding exhaust get the mac prochamber. I have the lm's and I just installed the prochamber about two week's ago. It sounds sooooooo clean and smooth. It's slightly louder than the stock H, but a lot more deep and rich.

BRENSPEED SOUND FILES

I got to say my plate is really full right now. I try to make as many sound files as possible with what mufflers and mid pipes we have around here. There are a lot of mufflers out there that we have not tested but so many are the same in design. Also a big part of sound is the customer in general. I talk to a ton of people every day. Each person has his own opinion on sound. I have said it before and can say it again. What one guys loves the next guy hates. Be carefull when you hear somebody says it sounds loud, is not loud, smooth, poppy, etc... I can sell the exact same thing to 10 guys and hear different descriptions from each of them.

I might try some more mufflers sooner than later if time permits.

It is an annoying "bap-bap-bap-bap" sound in the middle rpm range at part throttle. I've been calling it a "crop duster" sound... because it is similar to a propeller plane.

I am a nurse part-time at balboa hospital in San Diego so maybe one of these weekends one my way up wee could meet up. That would still be hard but I will let you know!

Well, I got my off road H and SLP together... the BAP BAP BAP trumpeting or whatever we call it is present and accounted for in the mid RPM ranges. and another thing.... I am a fan of loud.... a big fan.... and I am young and I can take a lot. BUT. This is way to $%&#ing loud. dont get me wrong, it sounds GREAT. but I will get rolled instantly with this as my daily driver. I am not sure what to do yet, but I cant keep it like this. I will get vids tomorrow and then take it off for now.
