Pulling & Installing Tranny 3650
We pulled the tranny out of my 07 tonight on jackstands.
The 2 top bell bolts are a *****...We removed the rear K-Member bolts and loosened up the K-Member Nuts directly under the motor w/ a floor jack under the center of the K and jackstands under the rear legs of the K.
Then lowered the floor jack slowly and the K tilts back and so does the tranny. This allows enough room to get the top 2 bolts from underneath w/ a 3ft extension. I really could not get the top bolts from the top w/ the Whipple on there...kind of tight
SOooooooo
This 3650 sure is heavier than the old T5's.
How is everyone getting the 3650 back into postion and clutch aligned w/ the car on jackstands and rolling around on your back???
Is anyone using some sort of tranny jack to position and maneuver the pig back into place???
Any tips would be appreciated.
I AM NOT looking forward to this....
