Was searching somewhere on another site the other night. Can't seem to remember now! Anyways.... this guy was talking about the Shelby, and he mentioned that there were rumors of Mach 1 protos being out there

Anyone hear or see anything? This waiting is a killer! :bang:

I would think it would be almost impossible to sight seeing as they could hide it in a regular GT fairly easily.

I'd love to see it though

Earliest would be 2008 more than likely....so you may see a mule running around, I would not doubt it be pretty much GT'd (powertrain etc only changed)

If anything, it could be a GT/CS (California Special) running around. Its rumoured to be a 2007 package on the GT

I'm pretty sure he said 06, but he could...a... been blowing his own horn! Don't know. It was quite the piece on the Shelby though!

Well i'm sure Ford doesn't want to blow their load on the first 2 years..know what I'm sayin.

The First year had the Coupe/Vert V6/GT
06 has the V6 pony package
07 has the california special(so we hear) and the Shelby (so we know)
If I was a betting man, I'd say 08 for anything like that. Whatever they may call it.

its not mach1 prototypes, it was shelby gt500 prototypes. basically several trustworthy sources said that there were from 8-15 05 gt's on the roads outfitted with NA 5.4 engines, SC 5.4, SC 4.6, and SC :larger: engines. these were all test mules for what ford wanted to do in the near future with SE models, not necessarily mach1 or gt350 or boss or anything, just working ideas of what one of those might have as a powerplant, but disguised (sometimes not very well) in an 05 gt.

Hi Thrust,

Is that your Mustang in the avatar? Great looking paint scheme. I was thinkking of doing something similar to mine when it comes in. Do you have more pictures posted somewhere? It's hard to tell from the avatar, do you have a chin spoiler on it? Did you paint the rear louver black? What type of hood scoop did you go with?

I'm looking forward to seeing some more pictures.

I hate to tell you, but it's a photoshop I did a long time ago. It has some body mods that wouldn't be very easy to do on an 05 like 69 styled windows and hockey stick delete on the side, plus the roof is extended a bit towards the trunk. I always liked the 69 boss 302 stripe so I decided to put one on an 05, I have seen a few pictures of real 05's with the same stripe though. Maybe someday I will have a car that looks like that and would be happy to show you more pics. For now though, since I'm only 17 I'd be happy with just about any mustang I could get my hands on.

Thanks for the complement anyway.
