Protect you precious aluminum engine parts from CORROSION
About 2 years ago I posted a thread about a product I thought prestone was coming out with, it was an anode you install in the cooling system that will corrode so your aluminum WON'T!
Do A search and use the word anode and you will find the original thread. Or click on this link http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...ighlight=anode
Well I finally found the product, but it is not by prestone, it is being marketed by flex o lite...I just ordered it thru summit for 10.99, I bought a few of them, now I need to figure out where to install it in the cooling system...it comes with 1/4 " npt fitting and it is about 2" long. It is also on pg 121 of Oct 2006 Hot Rod mag.
Has anybody tried this yet???

Just use distilled water with ford antifreeze and a bottle or two of red-line water wetter. Change it every 4 years or so, and you will be fine.
I aluminum porsche motors are fine with this same treatment.
The anodes probably work, but I woulden't classify it as a must have.
