Saturday morning I pulled over a black 05 GT for not having a front license plate. In Texas you have to have two. The driver happened to be a rep for Procharger and he said that their intercooled system should boost the GT to somewhere in the :worship: 500-550 hp range. The cost will be around $4,000. He said that that price is for everything you need including a system to flash the computer.

Very exciting info if it turns out to be correct. Did you write him a ticket?

 Actually I didn't even write a warning, I saw his Procharger shirt and jump right into the questions about the supercharger.

Nice to hear some good news there! He lucked out with having a mustang enthusiast pull him over. How did the car sound? The usual high pitched whine or more subdued?

Good detective work.

This sounds great. Did he happen to say weather it would be 500hp stock with the s/c or with mods and the s/c?

I have the procharger on my car currently. I did all the dyno testing etc for the magazine. It made 445 to the rear wheels bone stock with the procharger kit. Price will be a little more than 4k but pretty close. The car runs well into the 11s at just under 120 on ET Streets.

500-550!! I will probably do other mods first, so add the s/c on top of that... .

:worship:

just out of curiosity, we saw that trixterracing (sp?) now has the procharger available, but the procharger site still says coming soon. does that mean that it's ready to roll and for us to start buying? all the testing is done, etc...?

Those are some really nice numbers... I guess they can help put to rest the people worried about an underwpowered cobra if the GT will be able to put out these figures... but you do know if he was lying about how much it makes you'll have to track him down and give him a ticket

Chris- I knew I would catch you online somewhere.

It was great to meet to you, and I certainly appreciate your not giving me a ticket... I got the plate installed BTW... Hehehe!

:cop:

I was referring to the Procharger and it includes larger injectors and a Diablo custom programmer for our application. Availability is (Last I heard) the first week of April, so it will not be long. I can and have started taking pre-orders. I know from experience that we can make more power than posted above with the Procharger. I DO have a few tricks up my sleeve!

Oh, and then you will be drag limited, not PCM governed on the top end. You and I KNOW these things will go faster than 148... Hehe!

It was a pleasure meeting you and I must say you are a great guy. I have enjoyed every call. I will have a few mods installed by the time I come back through Dallas, and aside from the plate, I have also taken your other recommendations. Will drop ya a line soon so I stay on track with the prototype.

Keep in touch, and thanks again!

Very true, and Chris proved there are a LOT of GOOD cops out there! Not posting to start a debate, so please keep this thread on topic.

We don't always have to agree, but we DO have to respect the fact that laws have a purpose, and cops are doing their jobs.

Darn I hated putting holes in my bumper... But it's done.

Man if I can get up to 550hp from just $4000 more instead of paying $10K-$15K more for a gt500, I'm all for it. I'm kinda diggin the street scene kit plus other rims more than the gt500 looks anyways. I can't wait to see some more people get the s/c on here.

They will come. Won't be long now!

I have seen graphs, but Procharger and Whipple are pretty tight lipped about the Mustang kits because they have yet to be released. It is only a matter of weeks.

While I KNOW you will see somewhere around 460, all I can confirm is the GT will run 11s with a conservative tune. I can live with that!

I would like to know why the aluminum block was not used with the GT500? Is this block weaker than the steel?
