Please help. Need to identify broken part for Vortech install
Hey guys,
Thanks in advance for helping me identify this part. I bought a Vortech S/C H.O. with cooler(4FU218-028SQ). It came off a show car with 3 hours use on it.
The parts arrived and while checking them over I found this. I called my Ford salesman but he is off today and Vortech is already closed. Hopefully I can identify this so I know what to ask for and can hopefully be able to proceed with my install this Saturday as planned.
Around the lip it says 190904 but then the rest of the lip is broken so I don't know if the # continues. I cross referened that # against the parts list from Vortech but no luck finding a match.

Again, Thanks!

OK, I think I have it figured out. It is ...... *drum roll* the water pump inlet!! ...
*taps mic* Is this thing on?
There is a pic of it (I think) on page 28 of the Vortech instructions, figure 8B-d. I only have the free PDF reader so I can't make a pic of it.
Here's a pic of the part I have. Basically, it looks like they completed the step and this water inlet is inside one of the tubes already attached on my part.
I was going to remove the tube and check but I'm not familiar with the type of clamp being used and didn't want to open it not knowing if it can be re-used or not. I think it is in there though since the hose is left attached to the oil cooler from their working operation of it.

I'm not sure because it is hard to judge the size of it based on the pictures, but it looks like the vacuum fitting that goes into the brake booster. The fittings that Ford uses on these cars fit in very tight, and are very easy to break if you try to remove it, which is what I am guessing happened.
Thats my phycatrist, as I clearly stated. I think you are a dunce.

Here's the pic from the instructions. I saved it into a Word doc.

I just tried the link and it worked. Click on it, and choose "open" and it will bring you to the page I saved. If that still doesn't work let me know and I'll try something else.
