Please Help with JLT intake and Bama Chips Tune

Hello, I am a long time lurker, anyways today I installed my JLT intake which I ordered from Doug with no problems. When I plugged in my Xcal2 to put in the 87 per tune the display on the car gave me these error messages. Check Charging System
Check Trac Control
Fuel Level low dte odo data err
engine temp warning
check fuel cap

The tune went ahead and installed but when i reached about 3000 rpms in 2nd gear on a test drive the engine shut down and went into fail safe engine mode. I emailed Doug and gave him a call but its a Sunday and I dont think
I will get an answer today, can anyone help me with what I did wrong? I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Rob

Un-hook your battery for about 10 to 15 minutes. Hook it back up and see if you have the same issues. If so, reload the stock tune and see if the car runs okay. You will get a couple of lean codes but thats no big deal. If it runs okay try to reload Doug's tunes. You should not have gotten all those error messages when you loaded he tune. Good luck.

No i did not. I'll try unhooking the battery terminal and see what that does.
I dont get the messages every time i start the car, it is only when i have the stock tune loaded and when i load one of Dougs tunes then the error messages flash on the display while the tune is loading.

Those error messages you got are normal. I would go back and double check all of my connections first(loose hose clamps) and then try flashing it again and giving it a try!

The error messages show on my car when I'm loading a tune too. As the tune is loading, the car will display all kinds of messages but once it's done loading, they go away and never come back.

As far as your vehicle going into fail-safe, the tune itself may be ok but maybe the install of the JLT isn't. Did you plug the mass-air sensor back in, completely? Are all connections correct and tight? Make sure you check out all the basics first just in case.

I get most of those warnings when I load my tunes, I think its normal if you dont remove the electric fan fuses and fuel pump fuses before loading the tune.

I'm thinking either pipe has air leak(not connected correctly at throttle body or at filter, or the MAF wasn't put back in correctly. I don't know if you can put it in upside-down or not but I would check that .

I don't think getting all those error messages are normal like people are saying. I didn't get any while loading a tune.

Well, I disconnected the battery for 15 mins and checked to make sure everything was tight, and fired her up again, and was not able to reproduce the problem, so I think everything is all right now. A few of the clamps did seem to be looser than when I orginally put them on so I torqued them down really tight this time, I also reset the maf sensor just in case. I appreciate every ones help and time.

I'm glad that everything worked out... I know that had to be stressful.
