Have you the had the opportunity to accelerate out of a bumpy corner? If so, what is the response like?

Also, how is the general ride comfort over sharp bumps? Also, is there any hop in that instance?

Does this require special exhaust routing to be used?

I have not had an opportunity to really push it but I can tell you that it stays cemented to the road, responds quickly to steering wheel movemnt and can take exits at speeds way above what is recommended without braking. Give me another month and I will report back with a better report. So far so good and nothing not to like.

oh one of my main questions is how is this setup different from a normal panhard bar setup and also how will this set up react to lowering springs, not much of a lower though something like a 1" drop

Panhard bars are "biased" to one side since 1 end is mounted to the chassis and the other to the axle. Imagine the arc at the axle end as the suspension cycles up and down, since the chassis mounted end is fixed. The rear axle will move sideways in relation to the chassis a bit when loaded during a turn...

Aftermarket Watts links are adjustable for height - at least the ones I've seen. If you don't want to cough up the $$$ for the Saleen unit, another manufacturer can be found at www.fays2.net (pretty good information) although it mounts differently compared to the Saleen version. Lakewood supposedly has one as well for the S197. Yeah, they're not exactly cheap either but, it is the next best thing to IRS.

For the record, I'm not employed by either company, nor do I sell their products. (I just want one for my car!) LOL.

Y'know, I wonder why the factory didn't go with a watts link, Town cars have them? Ultimately its no big deal, since this same sort of rear suspen sion setup (3 link with panhard) as used by Chevrolet allowed Camaro at one time to best Corvette around one of GM's test tracks.

the fays2 kit looks alot stronger and from reading the test statement after taking a strong slide through the grass of a track the only thing that broke was the bolt holding the center pivot which can be replaced, the saleen kit looks cleaner but i am afraid of it being attached to the cover. I know PJ knows his stuff and so does Saleen, but the Frys kit looks like it has alot of thought behind it, nothing is attached to the axle with a bolt but rather the pivot arms are connected to the axle and the rest of the assembly is bolted into the factory location for the panhard bar and support, plus it is half the price of the saleen kit

If they can save 50 cents on the car they will do it (or not in this case).
