That's definitely not how we park ours
Seriously. What dingleberry gave the keys to a 14 year old whom obviously has never thouched a stick. Then again, what dingleberry parked it in gear on a flat surface? Hrm... I'll bet they're one and the same!

The owner's manual says to park it in 1st gear with the handbrake engaged.

Notice, He never did answer the question, "How much hp...?" LOL. That almost happened to me... A friend of mine wanted to start the car in the garage to hear the exhaust. Most people with 5 spds leave it in 1st. Well, he pressed the cluch, turned the ignition, and popped the cluch- thankfully the car stalled or I'd be in the same boat...

No kidding. There are no smarts there with regards to letting ANYONE touch a car like that, especially with having no experiance with it.
I have a difficult time letting even the Ford Porter of 25 years drive Angel around to the service bay.
Please do not let others drive your car if it is not necessary;- especially a stick shift one.

I agree. Never let others drive your car, even friends sometimes! I let a good friend drive my GT. He thought he'd be clever and show me he could drive like a badass, well he couldn't. Took a left turn and he fishtailed like a ****, had us pointing in the wrong direction. Luckily we were in a quiet area with no cars. My reaction - get the hell out the drivers seat! No more driving for you!!
