I am taking the plunge!! After two years of saving I am finally ready to get BLOWN! My question is, what guages do I need? Any suggestions on brand? Thanks!

all you need is boost/vaccuum and fuel pressure

no need for Wideband A/F. the whipple tune is right on the money with A/F.

Fuel pressure and/or wideband, and boost. Or get 2 Aeroforce guages and monitor each of those plus one additional of your choice (4 total parameters), all in using only 2 guages.

I can agree that the whipple tune is great. I've never heard anything bad about it, but how can it be right on the money with A/F? You can't make a tune to be right on the money with every mustang out there. You'd need a dyno tune. Every car runs a little different, and I'd venture a guess that some if not most of the whipple tunes will need to run a little on the rich side. Even if the tune is spot on, there is always the possibility of running rich or lean for some reason or another. I'd say the Wideband is a must.

With the Nexus, I would also need to purchase the control module?

I'd echo the wideband A/F recommend and at least a boost. The others are good but not required. I don't know if a controller is required for the nexus though.

My experience was that for my car the whipple tune was pig rich outta the box. Putting down a consistent 440 HP after several pulls, but still rich. It's a great tune and one that should never hurt the motor but it wasn't perfect in my case.

I decided on Autometer Cobalt, A/F, Fuel Pressure and Boost with a tripple dash pod almost identical to what the Project Source Horse has. I think these will be good, Nexus was silly expensive!!

Yeah, I'll second that. The Colbalt series has a good blue color.

I like the Cobalts also, but if I get the Cobalts I'll have to change my color and overall theme from red to blue. I've got the red Escort 8500. Then I'll have to go get the blue one, and change the dash led's to blue because green and red is ok, but green and blue clash.
