Thumbs up The OFFICIAL KB Super-Tensioner

KB finally has their version available. They used Adam's (ST Motorsports) great idea of welding 2 stock tensioners together and took it one step further.

The KB unit utilizes two Billet Dayco tensioners welded together and smooth finished in Billet.

The piece is unbreakable and garunteed not to bend. The price is $89.00 and available at KB now shipping next week.

The pics are from my cell phone so aren't the best. I'll get some more after install.

That looks like a pretty good idea, and cheap to boot

That looks pretty good, and that's a fair price, I'll probably buy one for piece of mine. Mine looks like it might be starting to bend a little after 4k miles.

Got mine ordered with a new belt. Looks like my stock tensioner is bent out about 1/8", and belt is starting to wear on the inside. This should take care of it.

I've read of a half dozen or so guys that had KB's with problems with the stock tensioner bending or breaking. Some have gone through several stocker tensioners before beefing up, then no problem since. Most of them have 10psi or more, but I know of two with the 6rib/8psi that have still bent theirs, including me.

Mine did well for 4K miles, but I can see it's starting to bend now. Don't want to risk getting stranded at the track one night. I'll put on this new one, and keep the old one and the old belt in the trunk "just in case" I need to limp home one night.

I sold it. Could not make it streetable at 16 psi. My goal has always been to build a fast DD. Couldn't do it with a turbo.
