OEM Bullitt STB installed

Guys, here's some pics of my OEM Bullitt STB that I just got from GTMark052.

Anyhow Mark and I decided to swap braces, because neither his Bullitt brace was able to fit his GT500 hood, nor was my previous GT500 STB able to clear my stock GT hood.

Needless to say, I couldn't be happier as the Bullitt STB clears both my hood, and OEM intake plenum cover, with no gaps nor slight bulges in my hood whatsoever. I also measured the clearance between my plenum cover, and strut tower brace, and have exactly 1/2" of clearance. I've also noticed that my hood now closes a lot easier too.

Anyway for those who may be interested in purchasing one. KC from Clevenger Ford has them for $144.40. OEM part # 8R3Z 16A200-A

Also, the OEM Bullitt STB is the same brace as: FRPP V6 part # M-20201-F.

In the meantime, thanks once again for everything Mark, as you sure are the man

Rocky

Thanks, I also like how well the STB color matches up perfectly with my intake plenum cover too

That looks great! Aside from looking bad ***, what is the funtional/performance incentive to get a STB?

looks great, I have the same brace, I had the GT500 brace which as you can see rubbed my cover, but I have no issues with the Bullitt brace, I recently touched up my cover to get rid off the rub marks from the GT500 brace.

From my understanding. STB's are supposed to enhance chassis stiffness, and support. As to what degree, some claim that's it's only marginal, while other's have claimed to notice substantial improvements.

At any rate: I suppose it all comes down to personal preference.

Hey Bill, I'm just about to post the same thread over on Stangnet, in which you know me as: Red05bullitgt

Btw: Did you paint the Ford racing logo on your brace, or is that a decal ?

And I also thank you for the inspiration as well.

You know what Rocky, I still think that brace would've looked better on my car j/k
It really looks great! Also, thanks for swapping braces, yours...er, uh, mine arrived in excellent condition on Friday. I plan on installing it tomorrow..... its been a long weekend for me with the work schedule and computer problems, etc.
Thanks again for the smooth transaction. I definitely give you an excellent rating for the transaction with this STB swap. You're trustworthy and a great person to deal with. There were no issues whatsoever and I am completely satisfied.

For anyone on this site who may do business with Rocky in the future....dont hesitate....he's the man

Thanks again Rocky,
Mark

Hmmm do I sense you're having second thoughts Mark j/k. But anyhow I'm quite certain that once you install your GT500 STB. It's going to look, and fit so much better with your GT500 hood, that you'll no longer miss the Bullitt STB anyhow.

At any rate: I'm very pleased that your completely satisfied, as I also feel the same exact way.

I also thank you for the very smooth transaction, as your also a very trustworthy, and excellent person to deal with as well.

You also deserve a very excellent transaction rating, in which I also highly recommend you to anybody on this or any other website, to do business with you without any hesitation whatsoever.

In the meantime, thanks once again for swapping braces with me Mark.

Rocky, that's a clean install!

How much clearance is there between the plenum cover and brace? Do you have any measurements?

Is that under the flat part of the brace or closer to the corners of the cover?

Charlie, under the flat part. I came up with 3/8's of an inch, as for the corners. I got exactly 1/2 an inch of clearance.

In the meantime, I also just submitted a post in the http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=475991 Which goes into more detail, so be sure to take a look.
