O/R x pipe, Flowmasters maybe resonators???? VIDEO!!
While my car is tucked away for the winter, I am looking at a way i can salvage my current exhaust set up. If anyone has the x-pipe with the flows, ya know exactly what I mean. I don't totaly hate the sound but want to take away some of the raspyness and trumpeting between gear shifts.
Thinking about adding straight thru resonators to calm things down. Anyone out there happen to hear a set up of the flows +O/X + resonators??
Anyone with a clip??
If I can get away with spending $80 for resonators instead of a new exhaust investment I will luck out.
I'd rather spend the $$ on other mods.
Here is a clip of what my car sounds like.(Not my car) Same exact exhaust set up(o/r x with flowmasters.

I have the same set up, so I know what you are trying to achieve. That video explains quite well. The car sounds great when you are WOT at the high RPM range, it just sings. People at the trac at our local autocross events always compliment me on the sound of the exhaust... I mean every event I go to someone says "man that sounds sick!"
If you come up with a cheap, reliable fix, be sure to post it.

I have an O/R H-pipe with flows, and it makes the infamous trumpet sound, but it also sounds a lot deeper than it did with an x-pipe.
I am putting on some original 40 series 2 chamber flows in a few weeks. I am hoping that will help.
Some guy did put resonators just before the axle and said it fixed it, but I havent heard any clips.

FOUND VIDEO OF O/R H-PIPE with VIBRANT RESONATORS! VERY NICE!!
It's nice to see that i'm not the only one that thinks this exhaust set up needs a fix. I'm gonna order the straight thru resonators and see if it tones it down a bit. I will post vids when it's complete.
Here is a couple of different resonators that I'm considering.
