Nitto 555's in winter?

Is it possible to drive these in snow? I'mnot talking about deep snow(< 1 inch), maybe just a dusting?

I drive my pirelli's in snow during the winter, not very often, usually the road is salted by the time I have to go to work. But needless to say, pirelli's suck in the snow. Would Nitto's be much worse? Or is it dangerous to drive them in the winter?

Just looking for a good tire I could use all year 'round.

I have 555's and it would be only by absolute necessity that I would go out in the snow (no matter how deep) on them.

I'm thinking the 555's would be worse in the snow than the pirellis. The pirellis are rated M+S (mud and snow) all season, the 555's are a summer only tire.

So that's what M&S stands for...
