Well after looking through the car after the weekend drag strip run.
There seems to be a couple of casualties.

Rear Pinion seal...
Clutch pretty much dead.

Going to replace the seal and take a look at the rear end and see if theres any more damage.

SPEC Stage 3 clutch with Flywheel enroute.

Hopefully I can put this power down now.

Im yet to break anything with a 100 shot but then again I have an automatic. If I can safely move to the 150 shot I may have to install a progressive controller if it hits way too hard and loses traction.

Sorry to hear that.

Any idea of what caused it? Other than the obvious. Could you have avoided it? It says 100hp kit in your sig, are you running 100 shot? Do you have colder plugs?

Colder plugs have nothing to do with the damage that was caused. The stock plugs are good to use for the 100shot jets regardless of manufacturer, I should know.

He broke his clutch and ripped his rear seal, everything else is probably fine. I've had plenty of use at the track and Im yet to break anything, though the converter has taken to locking up since Im putting too much power through it with the DTP canned tune.

You know, I was asking him. He is the one with the damage. But thanks for your insight, as I know you have Nitrous.

Diablo Sport provides a tuner for our computers, known as Ford's Spanish Oak.

Since this is a public forum I will provide my answer as help since SpeedSlave is probably not going to answer until tomorrow.

The hit of nitrous is a harsh one in ideal weather conditions and like any power adder, it will seek out and destroy the weakest part.

My tuner and mechanic both think that I probably didn't get rolled back far enough into the water on a couple of burnouts.

As the stock clutch and rearend probably didnt like a dry burnout on MT Drag Radials.

Cleveland is right... on a 100shot it will seek out any weakness in your drivetrain.

Now if memory serves me correctly, I do my burn out in 2nd gear and usually dump at at 5k rpm.. It spins and smokes up for about 3seconds before it begins to pull down... is when I stop immediately.

The last burnout of the day.. same technique but the car pulled down instantly after letting go of the clutch. But I held it and put the pedal to the floor to try to smoke the tires... Im suspecting either one tire was dry, or both. This is most likely where I did the damage.

Now I know better. Hopefully with new clutch and flywheel.. and the rear end looked over, It will be good for the Autolite HT0s and a 125-150 shot.

That would probably explain my high et on my nitrous pass... As I thought was spinning in each gear... Probably just my clutch letting go on each powershift.

Oh well.. if it breaks. I make it stronger.

I just hope that a 150 shot wont break anything since the 100 is safe as can be for the moment. Then again, I havent put all the power Im making to the pavement yet. Im probably going to toast my stock tires for a while with the 410s and LCA modifcaitions before I put on a drag radial.

Get back on your feet soon so us Forced Injection guys can continue kicking butt in the 1/4 over the Forced Induction gals. :P jk

Don't feel to bad...My clutch is on the out's as well. I'm ordering a Ram stage 3 set-up. Just one small step to being bullet proof.

new pinion seal, sleeve. New clutches in the rear. Thats 1 problem solved.

When they rebuilt it.. they said factory it had 2 clutches per side. with metal disk spacers...

They deal with alot of the muscle car crowd, so they rebuilt it with heavy duty clutches, 3 per side with removing some spacers. Topped it off with Redline synth fluids. They said it would be more robust. They said the car may feel "chunkier" during slow turns??

Now waiting on clutch/flywheel/shifter.. and I'll be ready to tear up the 1/4 mile.

Hopefully things work out.

Good luck on the rest of your project. Are you expecting better times now, or just more reliablity?

Alternating frictions and steels is common with the Trak-Lok. It will be more positive now.

They had to sleeve the pinion? Hmmm...

I hope Ford improves the clutches on these cars. They should not be failing like this; they didn't on the sn95's/foxes.
