The SRT-4 was pretty heavily mod'ed. I don't know what he had in it, but it sure did look nifty and was louder than all heck. There was some reference to a special turbo. For sure: Intake, Exhaust, Mopar Stage III, some neat gauges, a cool LCD screen thingy from Greddy and more. That thing was one quick car, that's for sure.

The 1997 Cobra only had Borla exhaust and "a K&N" (which I assume to mean a drop-in only?)

Nice runs I saw that the SRT-4 started gaining at one point but just couldn't keep on consistently.

That was a Stage 3? I think that's a mistake, it said Stage 1 on his fender in the video.... you pulled on him nicely though.

Yeah, Stage 1 on the fender, but "Stage 3 (and then some)" on the description at the beginning of the video. Either way, the proper result.

I just thought the Cobras were mucho faster than the '05

 

A 2003 or 2004 Cobra would easy, any other year is a different story. I know that 1997 Cobra was well under 300 HP.

 

The SRT guy has mod'ed the heck out of his car. Yes, he has the STAGE 1 emblem, but trust me, a true STAGE 1 would not have run me down that fast. He was talking about how he ran 12.5's and had "over 400hp" and even showed a dyno sheet to a friend of mine. He also mentioned something about a 23lb turbo. I don't know much about turbo setups and Neons.

The Cobra is a 1997 (rated at 306HP from the factory if memory serves). The guy missed a shift in each run. stinks too. It would have been a great race, but I still think I would have walked him (slowly).

They both shifted pretty ugly (especially the cobra guy).

Nicley done, when does the 2 hour movie come out? I guess you also had the added weight of a passenger and still dispatched them quite nicely. you could tell when the neons turbo was at full boost, he would start to pull up a little then when he shifted he would fall back untill the revs came back up.
