Ok, guys, the inserts came in about 30 minutes ago. Enough time to take some pics and mount a filter and see how it works.
Well I must say this should have been done from the start, but I had no idea. :bang:
The insert is easily pressed in the MAF end of the pipe. It can be used dry or with a small amount of glue or epoxy. It's snug. Then once you mount the filter and tighten it till your hearts content it will all be rock solid!
I will be sending a formal letter to all customers, but posting here and other sites first to get the internet customers faster.
All kits will be going out with this installed from this point on!
Here are the options on the JLT insert:
1) Convert your car back to the stock air box and re-flash the computer to the stock tune. Send your JLT (pipe only) to JLT Performance 633 Marston Dr. Chesapeake, VA 23322. JLT will perform the fix or replace the pipe (if necessary) and return the pipe to you. This should take less then a week total turn around. Be sure to include a note with your name, address and phone #.
2) The insert can be sent to you to install. It may involve heating the pipe end with a heat gun and pressing the insert in with a hammer and a block of wood. The insert will be shipped to you as soon as we are notified you have chosen this option. If this is the best option for you, please contact JLT at jay@jlttruecoldair.com.
I sincerely regret this issue and apologize if it has happened to you. Please be assured it will be taken care of as fast as possible. If this is not a problem for you and your JLT, please disregard this notice.
Thank you,
Jay Tucker

Please contact me through E MAIL with your name and shipping info, (if it's different from what I have) not post here that you would like one. E MAIL will help me keep track of who's getting them.
I will do my best to get them out ASAP, but please be patiant.

Kudos, Jay, on going out of your way to have this fixed - even to a degree of having the part customized (I assume) for fit, etc. Even though only a small number of people had the problem, it's great that you're taking preventative measures for the rest of us, and offering the "upgrade" in a straightforward and easy (and free!) way.

Thanks guys.
I have recieved many emails all ready and many are shipping today. More tomorrow and so on.
It's good to hear "most" of you are not having any issues, but this will halp with anything in the future.
I will spill a small tid bit of info. A big name mag. (can't say who)has just done a full 2005 GT CAI test. The article will be out in 3 months or so.
All I can say is you will be happy you made the choice you did.
I can't say anymore then that until it comes out...
Thanks again to you all

My filter seems to be staying put but I'll take an insert in case I do have problems.

Many shipped today and many more tomorrow.
I also am including a plastic sleeve to put on the upper rad. hose to help keep heat away.
Just slide it on the hose and let the pipe use it for support.
Thanks

Guys, I feel I must reiterate my first post.
Please "Email" me with your request to the inserts. This will help me keep everything straight, as far as who is getting them and if they were sent. Thanks
Also, I am offering 2 different options here. You send me your pipe and I fix or replace it OR I send you the insert and you install.
I can't stress this enough, if you don't think you can install the insert, due to shrinkage or something else, please send me your pipe. I can't pay to ship the insert to you only to find out you will need to send me the pipe back and have me install it, then pay return shipping again back to you.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but sending 100 inserts once, is keeping me busy enough. I can't do it twice. If you don't have a heat gun or access to one, please send me your pipe.
