Looking for some info or feedback on the Nitto NT-450 Tires. Have been looking for months and this tire stands out as a good choice for the upgrade from the oem 235/55/17 to the 275/50/17. Want to stay as close as possible to the oem dia. for the tire which is 27.1 to 27.8. So any one out there running the Nitto tires? Let me know what you think. Thanks..

I have the 255/45 NT555s all around and am not a huge fan of them. The traction doesnt seem all that good, to me the stock pirellis had better grip.

Chris, I LOVE those wheels. I have been watching those on ebay for some time. I'm not crazy about the tire size he offers. That is the only reason I haven't got them yet. Sounds like you don’t like the Nitto tires, I've heard good things about them. At least Tire Rack dot com reviews them good. I'm leaning towards getting the wheels and finding bigger rubber somewhere else. I would like something like 275’s or 285’s how do you like the wheels? These are the only Mach I wheels I’ve seen for the ‘05

I wouldn't trust them on the rear of my car. That's why I've got drag radials. If you want the best tires you can get. go for Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's.

I'm halfway holding out for BFG to come out with some raised white letter T/A's. Lets all collectivly hold our breath!

I have the Eagle F1 GS (but not D3) on my 97 Mustang. I have found that they have great wet road traction. I love them. The only thing I don't like is when they are cold and dry they will spin without leaving rubber. This occurs when them temp starts to get below 45 -50 F. But other than that they are great.

I love the wheels, but if I could do the tires over again I'd spend a bit more money and go for the Goodyears or BFGs. Definitely go for the 275s or 285s thats what I'll have on the rear when its time for a new set.
The only other Mach1 style wheels I like better are the Magnum 500s, but not for $466 a piece.

I am still 100% Satisfied with my 255/50WR-17 Hankook Tires for the following reasons:
1.) They are the exact diameter as the stock 235mm x 55% tire.
2.) They budge out just enough to protect the rim, but not too much so as to cause squirm.
3.) They look perfectly proportioned and have a nice classic look.
4.) They are just $100 each.
