Well I must say BMR stuff is top notch. Very impressed. Clears cover nicely, no chance of scratching now. I took some picture of the indentations it makes in the hood liner. But as most have said the liner really isnt tight up against the hood. So I bet if you took it off and reapplied it using some 3m spray adhesive it would stick completely to hood and not even touch the strut bar. But if you ever have to replace the hood liner it would be a nasty sight underneath, LOL. Either way this thing is gorgeous. I like the fact they send it too you with out the emblems etc on it. You can install it without, I chose to advertise it for them as I am **** happy with there quality. It came with four washers, There is no way you are going to get enough thread in my mind if you add the washers. I left them off. Anyway heres some pics to get you salivating. I just painted the cover too, man that spray paint place matches the body color perfectly. Very happy with the outcome. See yall and bmr thanks for a great strut tower brace.

thanks,
yes I like it a lot, and yes if I didnt want anything on it I can leave the sticker off or take it off later. I just may add some ford racing logos or pony's etc. So I just thought I would put it on for now as I am very impressed with BMR's quality. The red powder coating is perfect, no flaws at all, even as tightening the nuts down, everything stayed nice and clean. I highly recommend this mod, I definitely felt a tighter front end after this mod. I already have the ford racing sway bars frt and rear, and It feels a little tighter with this mod. Graypny you will love it I am sure. See yall later.

Has anyone noticed that the brace hitting the pad is causing your hood to have a slight distortion? I just put a Steeda two-bar brace (V6 version since it's made to clear the engine cover) on my 07 GT/CS and while it clears the engine cover with no problem if you look at the hood at the right angle you can see a rectangle where the bar is pressing on the padding. If you run your fingers over it you can't feel it in the hood so I'm not too worried, but I don't want to cause permanent damage. Do you think the pad will just wear down over time?

No indentations at all to the actual hood with the bmr brace, clears the cover well and barely touches the liner. The hood closes easily and nothing is visible on the actual hood. If your bar is doing that to the hood it aint good. good luck

I went out to the garage and removed the bar. I guess I'll have to call Steeda. Ugh.

I expect the pad will compress over time, but you could always remove a section from it using a utility/craft knife. The pad is really to reduce noise, but if you're worried about heat - well, the bar will be insulating the hood won't it

That hump would drive me nuts!.......The hood liner may compress some! but in that area it already fits tight to the hood!

LOL,

Yes I had to do it. I actually caught those at mardi gras in new orleans a couple of months ago. I thought it would be fitting with the stang. Doesnt quite match the colors I have, but since my stang is redfire, well had to add some. Maybe someday add some hireman fire to some things. I actually love the dice. Thats just me thou. Hopefully you liked them, see ya.
