Well I called bmr they just hadnt added to there own site. she added it while I was on the phone. Its now on there site. I ordered it in the red. I am not feeling the hammertone silver vein color. I have redfire but oh well I think the red will look nice anyway as most of the engine compartment is dark. If I have to I can always paint over it with the redfire. It should ship by friday they said, so sometime next week I will have some pics. see yall oh yah 215 to the door is the cost for red, 20 cheaper for the dark color.

We have trial fitted the STB on several cars and have had no issues with it rubbing on the hood liner. One thing we did notice when checking for this is every car we went to the liner was never tight up against the hood so there is definatley a variable in the cars.

Thanks for the info lee, if it does end up rubbing thru the liner, I am ok with that, I can remove it and paint the hood. Its the cover I am worried about. Since it clears that we should be all good. Thanks for your great customer service. It was a pleasure speaking with one of your helpers there.

I removed my liner for awhile. It was also rubbing the plenum cover.
Sadly, Ford did not bother to paint the underside of the hood very well, so the lack of paint makes it appear as though the engine heat has damaged the hood. Everyone who saw it commented on the "damage". So rather than explain it, I put the liner back on.

I was getting ready to remove my hood liner because it is rubbing on the engine cover - guess I will leave it on if the bottom of the hood isn't painted. Need to get a strut brace to hold up the liner.

This is probabley a noob question here but what exactly are these strut bracers for? What do they add to the car?

just strengthens, it ties your strut towers together, less flex equals better control. Granted this are not a great mod by themselves, most do them for looks etc. But this with many other suspension mods will tighten everything up. If you are just going to do this as your only suspension mods, stiffeners etc. Then you are pretty much doing it for looks but will add a little. I had the ford racing brace and I could feel the difference. So Like I said mostly for looks but adds some strength to the front end as well. good luck

The hood liner also acts as heat insulation to prevent the paint on the hood from baking off.

The hoodliner is actually for noise, not really for heat! If your paint is properly painted on the hood all is fine. Plus most have aftermarket hoods etc with no issues or hood liner. Several have removed and have had no issues. good luck

Give it a few more years. I would highly recommend keeping the hoodliner under the hood unless it is falling apart.

I paid $193 directly from BMR but I wish I had gotten in on the group buy. I bet I get mine quicker so I guess it's worth the extra $8.
