New (notn Pypes) mid-muffler system??

Anyone on this forum tried or heard of this new mid-muffler system??

Looks like the Pypes one, except it's all 304 SS instead of 409.
Same price, though, $300.

Stainless Steel System's Axle Back Exhaust for 05-08 GT

They have a website, http://www.sss-exhaust.com/, but no actual info on the 05 systems.

I've got the pypes, never seen that one. I'd like to know how it sounds. Let us know if you do find out any more info on it.

I have those on my '07 GT. I had the FRPP GTAs, but wanted something louder. The fit/finish was very good and they look nicer than than the GTA mufflers. The install went without a hitch. As for sound, they are a lot like the Borla Stingers (but a lot cheaper).

tr6nut: Did you get them from this StangMods website? Any pictures or video/sound of them?

Off the subject: do you have a TR6?

Strait thru bullets just like the Pypes M-80 (mid). I don't see them sounding much different. 304 is nice though. Bet they look great.

Any pictures? We would love to see them.
My pypes mufflers are VERY close too. I've been watching them with no issues due to the fuel tanks hi-temp casing but it's kinda unsettling to say the least.

Im about to order the pypes mm system, but can any of you confirm that this is a mm system? The pics looks just like the same one used for the 99-04 exhaust and all the 05 sss exhausts on you tube are just axle backs.

How'd you get your # of posts into your username

I don't know about the system at all, that's why I was asking about it. Seems tr6nut is the only one with experience, and he hasn't posted more about it (I'll PM him).

But, the picture SSS has makes it look like a mid-muffler system.

But, looking at their webpage again, they have the same system pictured with a 99-04 Mustang, so maybe they just used their old picture with the new car (all the 99-04 were "mid-muffler").
No descriptions on the website, either, of the 05+ system. I guess I just assumed it was a mid-muffler since it says cat-back (though it also says axle back), says it uses 2.5" mandrel bent tubing and that it's modular. Those last two don't normally go with axle-back. Maybe I'm totally off-base thinking it's mid-muffler, though.

I'll try to contact the company to find out more.

Can you post links to those Ebay items?

I got them from a vendor off ebay about a month ago. I would not say that they are a "pure" mid-muffler system. The mufflers are a located behind the rear axle, but are located as far forward as possible. You don't see the mufflers from behind the car. I would take a picture, but our digital camera is at Canon getting the CCD replaced (some sort of recall from Canon). SSS exhaust has a website, but its the worst website I've ever seen. They don't have any of their '05-'08 systems listed, but they have pictures of them on the site. If you call them or email, they will answer questions. All in all, I'm satisfied with my system as it seems to be really high quality for the price.

Yes, I also have a TR6 - 1973 Triumph TR6 vintage race car.

NOT a mid-muffler system

Finally got a reply:

I apologize for the delay in response. I have been out of pocket.
The 2005 and up kit is a true AXLE BACK kit. It utilizes our
same muffler design from our 2004 and earlier kit but it is a
direct replacement for the stock axle back.

Hope that helps and thank you again for the inquiry.
