New best time!
I've finally broke into the 9's! 1.56 60' 9.94 @142. First time at the track after finishing up the tuning I ran 2 back to back 10.1's, a 10.04 then the 9.94. There's still quite a bit left in it. I was kicked out though until I have a 10pt. The car weighs 3520 and I am running C16 race fuel for safety. A few bugs to work out, safety components, a bit more tuning and it'll go low 9's. Injectors and MAF are almost maxed out!
I wonder how much weight I could potentially pull out if I put in race seats, no A/C, and any other weight reduction?

Are you sure you want to gut the car for maybe a tenth or 2? Are you making it a track only car? I know you have a spool but it's still streetable is it not?

Not 100% on anymore weight reduction. The car is still very streetable. There's only 2 things to change to make it less noisy...the spool and the anti-roll bar. The reason for the spool is b/c I didn't want to take a chance of getting into the wall or something with a locker failing. I wanted to rearend to be most durable. I can just unhook the anti-roll bar and that's cleared up.

Congrats Dave - that's beyond incredible. Good to see your hard work paid off On a side note, I haven't been able to get to the forums on modularfords.com since yesterday. Anyone else having the same issue?

Would be funny if dave laps Justin Burcham
How bout a 75 shot to get you off the line faster?
Mike only saved 30 lbs taking the A/C out, not worth it
Not so bad having to redo the cage, your main hoop was junk anyway with the bends at the bottom.

Thank you everyone! Me and my buddy Kevin pulled the dash out tonight. I'll be taking the car to Race Car builders to do the cage in the a.m. It was so tempting to gut all the A/C components out. It'll all stay put though. The dash wasn't all the bad at all. It took a couple hours but we weren't steady at it. The freakin dash is pretty heavy with no weight reduction possible unless you fab up a dummy dash.
