Would this just bolt on or would you have to retune again and get bigger intake pipe?

Not to change the subject too much. But did anyone notice the price and gains they are claiming with the bbk shorty headers? What is their quality?

Sorry, I didn't catch that! Looking at BBK's website, they have a bunch of distributors, but none have the throttle body on their website.

I've been watching RPM outlet for a while now for this TB... I just wonder if it is really "in-stock"... Guess I'll have to call and find out.

the picture on rpm outlet looks right. The picture on the other link, has a spot for a throttle cable and says for 4 valve engine, so I am thinking the rpmoutlet has the one for 05, the other is for a cobra engine or something non 05. Good luck.

I would think you would need a tune since you are going to a different throttle body.

I just called BBK and talked with one of their sales associates. They said that they have ran this TB without a tune on their test car and not had a single issue. This is truly a bolt on part and no tune is required.

IMHO, if you alrdy have the ability to tune the car, I personally suggest you do so.

And yes, this will be my first performance mod I do to my car.

So in talking to BBK, did they confirm that the throttle body has been released finally?

with potential for up to 27% more airflow, i can see these being good for 30+ hp if you so happen to have a Saleen supercharger as well

Ok everyone I just sent rpmoutlet an E-mail asking them if they will do a group discount. I'll let you know what they say.
Below is a copy of the E-mail.

Dear Sirs,
I am a member on one of the many Mustang message boards (themustangsource.com specifically) and was wondering if you would be willing to give any kind of a group discount on the BBK throttle bodies for the 05 mustang Part (number bbk1763)
I’m not sure how many members are interested in this unit yet but I would be willing to coordinate with them if this would be something that you would be willing to do.
If this is something you are willing to do please let me know what percentage discounts would be possible for 10 members, 20 members, and 30 members.

Regards,
Gordon
