Coolness:

Price:

I needed a replacement head for my motor. I explored all these options, but settled on a take-off for $300.

Actually, the price on the new one isn't that bad... It winds up being about $400 more than the Livernois head with the core exchange. If you can sell your existing heads for $250-300 a piece (take-off pricing), then it actually works out being cheaper!

Bill-- note that the new FRPP head is running oversized valves, and is CNC ported, which makes it a completely different animal than a bone-stock head...

If you are not in too big of a hurry, you might want to wait until fall when
Patriot releases their new heads. They reportedly out flow all existing ported heads out of the box.

Oh oh, Scott's looking at more bolt-ons. For this amount of money, you coulda done a lower stage Saleen kit and made more power with about equal cash.

But you already know that, don't you. Get ya some heads, that's all you got left.

It was in the 2005-2008 Mustang magazine that was on the stands this month. C&L partnered with Patriot to develop the heads.

Livernois FTW! They make some amazing 3V heads.

DON"T get the FRPP heads. I got a set(thank god for a real good price) and I could have done a better job porting them. I sent one head back because one port didn't even looked like it was touched. Three exhaust ports had bumps it them.

Which ones did you get? The ones we're talking about in this thread are just being introduced, but they've had the "performance" heads for a while... New has the oversized valves, the old has stock sized valves...

Patriot isn't known for making quality parts. Their 2V PI heads had some quality issues IIRC.

I think I would still prefer the Livernois heads.

Old style.I've had them for a year now.

I was pointing out how bad the port job was. So if possible, you may want to look at them before spending that much money on them.
