Need supercharger advice

I think i finally decided to supercharge, i am leaning toward the procharger & wanted to do my homework first, i just ordered frpp cams, intake & throttle body from american muscle, i am looking at the HO kit, my tuner says this kit will work fine with what i have & american muscle suggests the tuner kit & to get 60lb injectors & boost a pump, so i am a little confused on what to get, i want to make sure i get everything right the first time, so i am looking for advice from u guys to help make right decision, also the tuner said he would charge $2100 to install everything & dyno tune & this would take a week to do, so with the cost of the frrp , supercharger & install will be around $10,000, for that kind of money i want to do it right, also considered little cheaper route & go with a non intercooled vortech, but dont know how much power i would get with this set up & the cams, this car is pretty much for show , no racing, so i know i dont need alot of power, but you no how it is , do it right the first time.

Vortech is a better blower. I would check around for an separate intercooler if you insist on intercooler. Research the specs of the blower before you buy. Scfm is important. You can make more power with less boost pressure going with the Vortech. Both are very good options though.

i was originally wanting to go with vortech, if i can get close to 430 rwhp range with non intercooled & frrp, i would go that route, i was leanig towards the pro charger due to the gear whine, i believe the vortech is quiet, Thanks for your reply

I just installed a Roush 2300 supercharger on my 05 gt. I'm running 60 lbs injectors , Gt500 fuel pumps, one piece drive shaft with boss 302 complete rear axle. Dyno at 486 rwhp and 442 torque. About 3000 miles on it so far with no problems and it's a blast!!!

That would be great, good numbers, but i had ordered the frrp intake, throttle body & cams planning on a centrifigual , i did some home work & talked with the guys from brenspeed & decided to go with there vortech package, with the supercharger, frrp , Ds, i should be happy, also got some suspension parts, shelby guages & some look good stuff from AM, so i have alot of installing to do, not sure i f i should do the 4.10 gears or not, will wait & see how this plays out. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY

My only mistake that I feel that I have done with my car was go with 3.73 gears. I do like them alot more than the stock 3.55 however next year I will put 4.10 in my car without a doubt in my mind!! Trust me and do the 4.10 you will not regret them .!!!

by reading that thread and if it was my car I would pass on the cams or the supercharger. One or the other I would hate to spend the cash on cams only to have to remove them because some tuner couldn't get the tune right.

If you can find a Mustang owner's club in your area that would be a good place to ask around for a mechanic and/or tuner that people have had good experiences with long-term.

Here's the list on TMS:

I will give just a little advise. I had/have a procharger with a simple 10 pound set up. Tuned by a very well known mustang tuner in so cal. Had o. My car for about 40k miles and blew all 8 cylinders because the stock head bolts stretched. My engine builder was not surprised from the ford 1 time use bolts being a weak part. Now I have ARP everything and reinforced everything to never have an issue like this again. Good luck and enjoy!
