Need new mufflers

So I went ahead and bought a pypes o/r h pipe matched with the black pypes "bomb" axel back exhaust. It is so stupid loud and has a god awful cackle to it. Thinking If I put a real muffler on it it'll even cackle out and sound like a clean mustang.. What're y'all's thoughts? Get new mufflers? Cause I don't wanna go back to the restrictive stock h pipe..

Without cats or resos you're gonna have crackle. With nice mufflers the crackle will be tasteful. I have flows which sound great. I've also always loved the bullet and Shelby GT mufflers. Headers change the game too. Makes the exhaust deeper IMO.

I had the same combo that you bought and couldn't stand it. I kept the O/R X pipe and put some factory GT/CS mufflers on it and I think it sounds great. The X pipe opened it up and make the factory mufflers sound really good IMHO.

Well I went ahead put my stock gt mufflers back on, sounds decent but would like a 4 inch tip with a little more of a growl to it. What type of flow masters and are thy good sounding? Any video clips?

I'm not sure what they are exactly since they were on the car when I bought it. If you YouTube muscledom88 you'll see all my videos.

Get some Pypes M80 mufflers and have them mid mounted. You will love it. I have the same setup except with an O/R X pipe. It's a lot quieter than your setup but really loud when you get on it or rev it. Mine is deep even with the X pipe.

Look into the Pypes Violator axle back mufflers. They are an actual muffler and not a straight pipe/resonator so you don't get a crackle like the 'Bombs'. I just got some MAC Boom Tubes. They are resonated so they should keep the popping down to a minimum. I wanted something more free flowing but living here in CA you can't really change much with our SMOG laws.
