Need help from those with CAI
I have a Tuneable Induction CAI from DeMolet and I'm having some engine parts powdercoated. I sent the heat shield from the CAI with the parts to get coated and apparently whatever metal it's made from cannot stand up to 390 degrees, so it melted. Can anyone out there give me measurements so I can fabricate another? I have pics, but having the actual measurements would make it much easier. Here's what I need the measurements on, the heat shield around the filter:
Thanks!
Thanks!

James,
Sorry I didn't get the chance to check it last night, besides it was cold out! This morning it's 62 already in St. Louis. This may be tough to describe, but I'll give it a shot. Starting with the side that the intake pipe goes through, it is 10.5 " across. 5.5" high at each end, with a height of about 8" in the middle. the hole is about 5" in diameter. The other side is 12" wide at the top, 4.5" high where it bolts to the fender, and stays 4.5 " for 3" before it angles down towards the corner where it is 8.5" high for 3" where there is a .5" 'cutout' on the bottom (8" high) for 3" until it meets the other section at the corner. I sure hope this helps, talk about a pix being worth 1,000 words!
