I live a little over 4 hours from brenspeed but it looks like from the money i am going to save its worth the trip there.

I should state that my cams were put in in Feb 2008. So my pricing is almost 2 years old and before they built there new facility. I am sure their costs have increased.

Yea I had a quote of 350 for labor and I knew I could do it. The only thing I was worried about was the timing of the SOHC. I have never done that before. Anyway. It would have been better to have paid the 350. Now I;m out a head. I will say this. Besides the cam cap everything to install these cams was easy.

Thanks to Doug at BamaChips and Chris at BBR I got a new cam cap and it went right on with no issues. I checked the roundness (not the right term I know) of the new cap to the head and it was perfect! It looked just like it suppose to! I put it on and torqued everything down and it runs good! I was susprised on how it ran. It pulls harder on top side than it did before but I was thinking I was going to have driving issues. Like most older cars when you had a cam in it when you take off it would jump and kick. This car drives like it has stock cams in it. My wife or my mom could drive this car. When I pull up to redlights it's funny watching people look around for a car with a cam in it. Most people don't think it's the 08 GT sitting right beside them. LOL

I'm glad to have the car back and running. I will try to post a video tomorrow of the cams idleing.

Thanks guys!

P.S. I bought the Cam Cap from BBR.
