I order some Eibach springs for a friend of mine from ebay advertised here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290192890507
Well they arrived today in a plain white box? that got me confused and then I open them and they are the UPR brand Springs made by Eibach..not the ones pictured or the orginal black springs that Eibach sales. These are silver...I don't think my friend would notice but I am kind of Peed about it. They never mention that they are not Eibachs springs.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Contact the person you bought them from, email, phone, however you can and talk with them about how they falsely auctioned them, if the are a decent seller, they should get things figured out with you.

money
Money back would be good but he has already paid me for them and is expecting me to put them in when they get here......I thought about just keeping them and putting them in but you know it just isn't right for him to advertise a set of Eibach springs that are normally around $230 anywhere you buy them new for what he did. Would you contact upr or eibach if he didn't want to settle up with a partial refund?
And Has anyone installed these upr springs? are they as good?

I would contact EBAY and let them know what happened. Its a false sale, no matter how you look at it. Email the seller and give him an opportunity to make things right. If not, hang him by the *****.
Interesting though..the seller is "uprproductsonline". He has a 100% rating, so give him negative feedback and demand a replacement.

Hey Rob. I checked into this for you. Hope you dont mind me stepping in. Anyway..I emailed the seller and asked about his springs and mentioned how a buddy of mine just received them from him, but they were silver and labeled UPR. Here is the response I got...
The Springs you received are 100% the following part #35101.140, the reason they have our logo on them is so being a private label part they do not have to follow map pricing.
I am the company owner of UPRproducts and would never do that to anyone.
They are 35101.140 just Powdercoated Silver and Added our Logo, we had to buy over 1,000 sets of each Model just to get them to repackage the Pro Kit for us.
Email me back here or on my company email address to verify this with me I will never have a customer feel swayed.
That is why I use the Pro-Kit ads because they are.
I would never chance UPR's or Billet-Depot's Reputation or Feed back rating for a few dollars I'm just giving customers the deals they deserve.
I can have Eibach fax or email me the specs today to prove it to you. Which is fully understandable
and within reason to ensure you complete satisfaction.
The only dummy was me getting squeezed into buying so many Pro-Kits to get better pricing.
They Charge additional for printed Boxes and they require map pricing be followed if you sell the Part with only their logo on it.
UPR is very creative to get better pricing but not at the customers expense.
I hope that explains it well enough for you and that is the deal 100%, Joe M.

Might want to read your post again... UPR Springs made by Eibach, what's the issue again....
They are, you just said they were!
Making an issue out of nothing, those are Eibachs, put them on and your friend will enjoy them

They are Eibach springs...yes.....but the ones pictured and described are $229 just about anywhere you look in 5.0 superfords, muscle mustangs,..........the ones he sold are $159 in upr's ad in any mustang book......They were cheap no doubt...but Just alittle misleading I thought.
