Need Help with BMR LCA install Please!!!

I was able to install the LCA on the passenger side but now I am on the driver's side and can't seem to line up the bracket connected to the axle and the LCA bushing in order to insert the bolt. I had a difficult time on the passenger side but was able to muscle the axle into place while my father inserted the bolt. I tried using a jack but that just seems to move the axle further away from where it needs to be. I was able to insert the bolt but only through the front of the bracket, not all the way through it. The bolt is going in at an angle due to the axle wanting to move to the rear of the car. Any suggestions? I am totally out of ideas at this point. Thanks

Go to walmart, get a tie down strap used for motorcycles (only one strap needed) It has 2 hooks, get it tight and then ratchet it tighter to bring the axel into position. PM me your email and I will send you a cheat sheet on that.

It's a little late, but I jacked up the rear end by the pumpkin. Got 2 jackstands and supported the axel (this keeps the suspension under tension) replaced one LCA at a time. I had to use a extra floor jack to push the rear lca bushing into the axel mount (actually I added BMR lowering brackets, same same).

PM me and I can get you a picture how to I make up.

Traffic,
Thanks so much for your help. I went to the local auto parts store and bought a tie down strap (they only had the $20 variety but oh well) I had to crank the hell out of the tie down strap to the point where I couldn't any more and it was on so tight and the handle was in such an akward position that I had to cut it off after I was finished. I applied white lithium grease to the bushing/bolt and I thiink that helped too. I still had to torq the bolt so that it would insert into the bracket, it did not just slide in like it should have. I still can not figure out why this side was so much more difficult than the first; and I did do one side at a time as the directions stated. I torqued the bolts to 100 ft lbs. I think 120 might be too much?
I wish I had a lift. I was thinking about getting one. Are there any that I can park my car on and move over when I am ready to use it. I have a 2 car garage and two cars are parked in it at all times.

When I installed mine, I also cut my springs. So I had it supported by the frame as opposed to the axle housing. This made it very easy to line up the hole by just wedging a 2x4 in there and applying a little leverage. I could just imagine the struggle with all that weight on the rear.

Rap,

Glad it worked ok after all. I did the driver side first and no problems, the passenger side was my problem.

I have heard that the torque needs to me as recommended to keep down the squeeks and noise.

Glad I could be of some help.

That's the same thing I had to do, but had to do it to both sides. Worked like a charm. Glad you got them on...
