Need help/advice removing over axle tubes

I've done this before, and I remember it being a PITA, but I can't remember how to re-install the over-axle tubes. I've got the rear suspension completely unloaded, but can't seem to get enough clearance. Is there something I need to unbolt to get it to drop lower? (FRPP springs BTW)

take the lower bolt off of the shocks. That should allow a little more room. Watch your brake lines and such when lowering the rear axle.

Yup, just completely unloaded the rear axle. Removed the shock bolts, removed the sway bar links. Just not enough room. I think I need to get the front end up higher. What a PITA!!!

Maybe I got lucky then. I didn't raise the front at all and just used jack stands for the rear. I do remember the passenger side went in very easy, the drivers side gave me a problem. The pipe was stuck between the shock, rear axle and the frame, kind of wedged in there...I got tired of fighting it and gave it a good hit with the rubber mallet and it popped over. Wish I could be more help....good luck.

Thank you sir. I've been working on the right side. I'm going to try again tomorrow, but I'll try the passenger side first tomorrow.
