Question NC state inspections, how did you do?

I just installed some LT's and last week I did some more work and disconnected the battery. I have not had a whole lot of time to drive my car (I have a job that provides me a ride). I took it to the insp. place and it did not pass because there was not enough data to check emissions log. I passed the O2 part and miss fire part. Should I be concerned or just get out and drive it some.....(been working crazy hours).

Any thoughts?

after disconnecting the battery you have to drive it, I think, 50 miles before you have enough data. I had the same issue this year and drove mine for 100 miles just be safe. Took it back and all was good.

I'm really curious if you pass. This has kept me from getting headers in the past, not knowing whether the car would pass NC inspection. Good luck and please keep us posted.

nope, just drive it, you will pass. As long as it passes the sniffers and the cat visual inspection you are good.

Sniffers are what actually check the tailpipe emissions. It is done at idle, and should not be a problem unless you get into "lumpy" cams. I have had cars with lots of mods pass no problem.

and even if you do get "lumpy" cams.... just gotta pull enough timing, and you are good to pass.

I just moved to NC from TX. Do you think I will have any trouble with my SLP LM's or other mods?
