True--on the street with a street tire, which is the frame of mind most of us have here on this site, 4.10s are definitely a bad idea with the whipple on the street, especially combined with a 26 tall tire.

But...

there are a few here that are a little more sinister.....4.10's with the right 28 tall tire with the whipple is a monster at the track, let me tell you.

If you go with a 28 tall tire---and think you will be trapping at 130mph or less, stick with the 4.10s. With a 28 tall, your 4.10s become basically 3.90s anyway.

I would love to get 4:10's as they were great in my 05 (no s/c at the time), but the WHIPPLE is nasty enough....... When I hit the gas to fast as is, I'm fish tailing with 3:55's.

Hey guys, thanks for all the input on the gears. It will be at least a year before I would do anything about the gears, if anything at all.

Claude, you will notice a difference just adding the intercooler even if you stayed with the 6lb pulley. Are you going with the 10 lb pulley? or are you going to go w/ a 12 lb. I just recently added the intercooler & 12 lb pulley to my non intercooled Whipple and it made a huge difference! You will be happy.

Hey I just realized we discussed this on my thread. Sorry to re-post. Can't wait to see your numbers.

Doing the 10 lb pulley. I can hardly wait. Spring seems a long way off when you look out your window at a 3 1/2 ft high snow bank and -30 temps. Good thing I have a furnace in my garage.
